Once a year in the New Mexico desert a mirage of color, light and air emerge. It is the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. This year I created a painting to celebrate my participation in the events yearly art festival. Soft patches of brilliant color dance in the clouds held in balance by the blowing fall winds. This painting captures the beauty of the desert hills, and the celebration of an event not to be missed.
