Artist's Description
I was so moved by this experience that I painted another from a slightly different vantage point. Wolf Creek pass is a high mountain pass at the top of the world in southern Colorado. In the early fall its forests are a mosaic of colors shape and form. It was just such a day that I had the good fortune to be able to experience these wonders. This painting captures the colors of autumn with thick, impressionistic brush strokes. The layers of contrasting colors create movement and excitement as the clouds silently mover across the sky whispering the coming of winter.
